Local and out-of-state boxers draw big crowd at 'Battle at the Kastle' in Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) Athletes traveled from out of state for a major boxing competition in Cambria County this past weekend. Kastle Boxing in Johnstown held a Battle at the Kastle boxing event Saturday afternoon.

The Ridgetop Volleyball Club said two of its teams qualified for a national tournament coming up. They said a 16U and 17U team are leaving Sunday for a four-day tournament in Florida starting Monday, June 26 with championship games being played Thursday, June 29.

Pennsylvania teen with terminal cancer marries his highschool sweetheart

Canon-McMillan High School standout athlete Luke Blanock isn't letting terminal cancer keep him from making his dreams come true. Blanock was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer in December of 2013 when he was just 16-years-old, according to a Go Fund Me page created by his parents.

Wrongful death lawsuit filed against state trooper in death of Clearfield Co. man

A federal lawsuit has been filed against a state police trooper in Clearfield County for allegedly using deadly force, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man. According to the lawsuit, in April of last year, Trooper Craig Hooven attempted to pull over Matthew Chelgren for an issue with the license plate on his vehicle.
