BOGGS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — One person was pronounced dead after a car crash in Clearfield County.
State police identified the victim as 25-year-old Matthew McGarry of Oceola Mills.
Officials said the crash happened on Drane Highway in Boggs Township on Friday.
According to police, McGarry was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a sharp curve near Eagle Eye Road.
While emergency responders were on scene, the highway was closed between Eagle Eye Road and Erie Pike. The road has since reopened.
Fire and police said a person also drove through the roadblock during the closure and was cited by state police.
