Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after an argument led to a shooting in the parking lot of a Love's Travel Stop in Upper Bern Township, Berks County, Friday morning.
According to a press release, the incident happened just before 3 a.m. in the back parking area of the travel stop.
State police said the victim, James Hilton, 40, of South Hampton, New Jersey, was helping another truck driver park his truck in the lot.
The press release states that Hilton and the other driver, Travis Pugh, 39, of Jacksonville, Florida, got into an argument which led to Pugh shooting Hilton before fleeing the scene.

The press release states that, after the shooting, troopers were searching for Pugh's truck when it was eventually located on the exit 45 ramp of I-80 westbound in Lehigh County.
State police said a traffic stop was initiated and Pugh was taken into custody.
Online court dockets show that Pugh is facing one count of first degree murder, one count of third degree murder, one felony charge of firearms not to be carried without a license, one felony charge of aggravated assault which causes serious bodily injury with extreme indifference, one charge of possession of a weapon, one charge of simple assault, two charges of recklessly endangering of another person, one charge of tampering with evidence, one charge of disorderly conduct-engaging in fighting and one charge of harrassment.
Court dockets also show that Pugh is currently being held at the Berks County Prison and was denied bail and that he has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 3.
