A customer at a tire shop was shocked to learn an employee took his car for a test drive at twice the speed limit in a residential neighborhood.

The dash cam was rolling when the joy ride started. Chue Lee recently bought new tires for his Toyota Scion at West Coast Wheels and Tires in Clovis, California.

He said he was shocked to see the dash cam video after the tires were installed.

I checked the dash cam and I found out they were joyriding my car and they were speeding 57 top speed in a 25-mile speed limit zone in the neighborhood.

The manager of West Coast Wheels and Tires, John Ali, told KMPH his employee wasn't joyriding in the car but admits he was speeding.

The employee was suspended for three days and his entire staff was warned about obeying the rules of the road, Ali aid.

Lee can't believe a shop employee would treat his car this way.

"The video has calculated that shows the speed you are going and they still denied it."

Lee has filed a complaint with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. Ali said he has spoken to the state agency.

Lee said the steering on his car is off since the new tires were installed.

According to Ali, he got Lee's car inspected at other tire shops and determined there was nothing wrong with the steering.
