
YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that three construction workers were killed in Tuesday morning's crash.
Investigators say that a box truck, driven by a 24-year-old, crashed into a construction vehicle in an active work zone.
The crash caused the box truck to strike the three workers on the shoulder of the road.
Police say the workers were pronounced dead on scene.
Southbound lanes have since reopened.

According to PennDOT, southbound lanes are closed between Exit 36: PA 262 - Fishing Creek and Exit 35: PA 177 - Lewisberry.
A PennDOT spokesperson confirmed that there are currently reports of three fatalities.
Emergency dispatchers say the coroner was called to the scene around 3:50 a.m.
Police were unable to provide any additional details at this time.
