UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa (WJAC) — Penn State football's student section took home the "Live Mas Student Section of the Year" award on Thursday at the College Football Awards show, according to Penn State football's Twitter page.
Nittanyville, Penn State's official fan account, also confirmed the accolade.
Coach James Franklin took to Twitter Thursday night to congratulate and thank Nittany Nation, calling them the "BEST student section in America."
Penn State's student section will have one more opportunity this season to prove that they really are the best fans in the country when the Nittany Lions take on the Memphis Tigers in the Cotton Bowl on Dec. 28.
